Luis Toro and Alejandro Hernández were true innovators in the definition of new ways to make alcohol and aged spirit. They shaped the rules of rum making in Venezuela, establishing the minimum aging period of two years. Since then, Pampero proudly became the First aged rum of Venezuela (*), raising rum’s quality standards in Venezuela and around the world.

Ron Pampero was born in Caracas in 1938. We have more than 80 years of experience, and we are keen to continue building the history of Venezuelan rum for many more years. Its founders, Luis Toro and Alejandro Hernández, passionate about rum, discovered after many trips and research, how the intense climate and the incredible Venezuelan geography come together to create a set of special conditions resulting in an exceptional liquid.
